[ There’s a man in science blue standing next to the fountain, looking cold and grumpy as he shakes his device. ]

Damn interference… Enterprise, this is McCoy. I don’t know what the hell happened with those infernal transporters, but I’m damn sure I ain’t where I’m supposed to be. Scott, can you hear me? Jim? Uhura? Sulu? Chekov? Chapel? Anyone?

… Spock?

[ Nothing, not even the hobgoblin. Dammit. ]

Right, well. Looks like I’ll try and blend in. Christmas music and all...

[ Except since his communicator couldn’t reach the Enterprise, it broadcasted his conversation to the entire city instead… ]

That is certainly true, though everything I thought I knew was real has already been turned upside down once, so accepting that more than what I knew existed was not such a difficult exercise.

No, nothing of the sort, but-- I went to England and learnt that vampires and Shadowhunters and Downworlders all exist and are not merely fiction. After that, it was no longer so difficult to believe other things as well upon my arrival here.

I've had some crazy things involving alternate realities and time travel happen to me recently, so I suppose I can't judge. [ Not her, anyway, he likes her. He'll judge everyone else as much as he damn well pleases, though. ]

Alternate realities and time travel? Your life must be very eventful.

It will. Many things such as the music are merely passing and last no longer than a day.

Indeed. Most of them are mere inconveniences, but at times they are quite cruel.
