This is Leonard McCoy, Chief Medical Officer aboard the USS Enterprise. Bridge, do you copy?

[ There’s a man in science blue standing next to the fountain, looking cold and grumpy as he shakes his device. ]

Damn interference… Enterprise, this is McCoy. I don’t know what the hell happened with those infernal transporters, but I’m damn sure I ain’t where I’m supposed to be. Scott, can you hear me? Jim? Uhura? Sulu? Chekov? Chapel? Anyone?

… Spock?

[ Nothing, not even the hobgoblin. Dammit. ]

Right, well. Looks like I’ll try and blend in. Christmas music and all...

[ Except since his communicator couldn’t reach the Enterprise, it broadcasted his conversation to the entire city instead… ]

Dunno. This'll be my first Christmas here. I work at a bar, though, so I guess I'll find out.

[ Oh, you work at a bar? Hello new best friend. ] How're your mint juleps?

[Mint juleps? Seriously, dude? His tiny blond friend drinks those.]

My friend Lucy seems to be a fan.

[ He's Southern, okay. ]

And your bourbon?

We've got, like, five different kinds, so...

Any of 'em good?

I haven't tried them. I'm more of a beer drinker, normally.

You're a bartender and you haven't tried your own product? Should fix that.

I didn't say I'm a bartender, I said I work at a bar. I'm the cook.

... Somewhat more acceptable.

And I don't really drink when I'm there. Alcohol and knives aren't a great combo.

If you were drinking while you were there, we'd be having words.

Good thing I wasn't then.
